Manchester United wanted to celebrate their historic treble-winning season of 1998-9 with a new gallery at their museum.  The corridor-like space was divided into monthly time zones using stainless steel frames with side-lit, etched glass featuring the scores and scorers from every match played.  The exhibition builds in intensity from the balmy days of August to the frantic goalmouth action in injury time during the last game the Champion’s League Final in June 1999 – shown on a plasma screen as the focal point and visible down the length of the gallery.   (United beat Bayern Munich 2-1 with two goals in the last two minutes).
