Following a competitive pitch, RFA was appointed to design and build a new interpretive exhibition for the immensely popular West Midlands attraction.
The scheme involved creating new permanent and temporary exhibition displays and an orientation space. The exhibitions prepare visitors for their tour of the 26-acre open-air museum site and assist them to relate the individual buildings and themes to aspects of the unique story of the Black Country.
The design, implementation, construction and installation of the exhibitions was completed within a tight 5-month timeframe.
